About The Position

The SCO Program Manager I will supervise Case Workers/Managers. The incumbent is responsible for assuring the agency's SCO casework services are delivered in an effective, efficient and caring manner. All services and team activities will be performed under deadline and within budget. The SCO Program Manager I is expected to set professional standards for his/her staff's work performance and to direct their team to be strongly committed to the agency's mission and goals. The SCO Program Manager also works collaboratively with colleagues within and outside the agency to identify, develop, and implement strategies that address issues relevant to clients' needs and promote elders' ability to maintain their lives with dignity in their community. The SCO Program Manager will be creative in implementing new programs to increase client base and to build community relations on multiple levels. The SCO Program Manager will project a positive image and approach in his/her daily interactions with all staff, clients, vendors and providers.

  • At least three to five years social work experience
  • At least 2 years supervisory/management experience
  • Work authorization in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in social work or psychology
  • Licensure (LCSW or LICSW)
  • Experience in the Massachusetts Elder Service system or with SCO programs
  • Experience in program development, planning and implementation

Responsibilities

  • Manage, motivate, direct, train, participate in hiring, and discipline all team members effectively.
  • Provide clinical supervision on an individual and/or group basis as needed.
  • Take a creative approach in planning, organizing and implementing agency goals and initiate effective strategies within budget and strict timeframes.
  • Conduct reviews and measurements of staff through performance reviews; and conduct departmental reviews to ensure department meets contractual compliance protocols.
  • Communicate agency goals to team members and assist them in understanding how their activities relate to these goals.
  • Serve as a resource regarding the interpretation of EOEA regulations relating to home care programs and agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in home care visits on an as need basis for special cases, and conduct quality assurance of home visits conducted by case managers.
  • Establish and maintain performance standards in accordance to program and EOEA requirements.
  • Take an active role in agency meetings, committees and task forces.
  • Project a positive image when representing the agency in meetings with community agencies, task forces and vendors.
  • Attend training and seminars to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
  • Act as Step 1 Grievance Officer as per SEIU Local 509 Bargaining Unit agreement.
  • Perform other tasks or special projects assigned by the Executive Director, rector and/or Senior Staff.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000 (commensurate with experience)
