Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Pharmacy is preferred)
A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience (academic or industry), or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 0-1 years of related experience (academic or industry)
Experience with personal care formulation: Cosmetics, OTC or pharmaceutical experience on semisolid formulations.
A good technical foundation of formulated products including emulsions, surfactants, suspensions, structured liquids
Understanding of material chemistry and Lab scale process equipment.
Strong oral and written communication skills together with the ability to manage complexity in a matrixed organization
Familiarity with cGMP and other regulatory requirements
MS Office proficiency

Nice To Haves

Experience with scale-up processes in support of product commercialization.
Experience working with external manufacturing and technical project management.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational support for the end-to-end execution of regional and global projects, including analyzing consumer insights to help build a strategic innovation pipeline
Participate in cross functional projects and serve as the technical R&D leader for North America Skin Health projects
Technical activities include, but not limited to: product design/formulation and process development/process scale-up to support Incubator Brands pipeline, perform DOEs in support of investigations, and make formula updates to support base business activities (due to supply disruption, product improvements/upgrades, etc.)
Operate and lead independent of technical direction and execute projects and analysis with hands-on involvement
The Scientist may also draft and execute peer reviewed manuscripts, tech reports and patent fillings.
Manage routine organizational processes and complexity, risk-taking and decision making are crucial components of the role in providing mentorship and solutions to technical problems.
