About The Position

The Scientist for CX Product Insights supports consumer experience learning plans and product research for an assigned set of brands/platforms within the Kraft Heinz North American Zone. You’ll help define information needs and execute fit-for-purpose research approaches to answer business and technical questions, supporting product and packaging development from ideation through launch readiness. You synthesize learning into clear, actionable findings that inform renovation and innovation work, applying established CX tools and methods. You’ll partner with R&D (Product & Process Development, Packaging, Sensory), Marketing/Brand, Insights, Culinary, and external suppliers to help translate consumer learning into product, packaging, and technical decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Food Science, Physical Science, Consumer Behavior/Psychology, Industrial Design, or Marketing with a strong consumer research focus, with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 1 year, or PhD with no relevant experience in consumer/product research or consumer experience roles supporting product development; CPG experience preferred, food & beverage a plus.
  • Growing ability to translate consumer learning into direction that informs product and package decisions.
  • Foundational qualitative and quantitative research skills: study design, instrument development, synthesis, and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with common research, survey/testing, and analysis platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
  • Solid organizational skills - prioritization, attention to detail, and on-time delivery.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Analytical problem-solving with strong detail orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Support consumer experience (CX) research for the assigned portfolio/projects.
  • Execute CX learning plans aligning research to key decisions at each development milestone (prototyping, qualification, launch readiness).
  • Ensure projects have clear, validated CX direction and appropriate documentation as they move through development stages.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research focused on product and package experience, with support from senior scientists as needed.
  • Synthesize findings from CX research into clear, actionable summaries for assigned categories/brands.
  • Contribute to translating consumer needs and Jobs-to-Be-Done into product and packaging experience targets and design criteria.
  • Prepare research summaries that clarify key findings and recommended next steps, supporting cross-functional discussions.
  • Support management of external research suppliers: fieldwork coordination, timeline tracking, and deliverable quality checks.
  • Manage individual projects and workstreams with attention to prioritization, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity and privacy requirements.
