About The Position

We are looking for a Scientist for our Ligand Binding Assay Development team, to join IQVIA Laboratories in Laval, Quebec, Canada. Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in biological sciences with experience in immunological techniques.
  • 1 year of related experience in method or assay development or specific methodology area.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a regulated environment (GLP, BPLC).
  • Comfortable working in high-growth environments.
  • Ability to work with attention to detail, communication, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Sufficient knowledge of written English and French to be able to fully understand the documents used to carry out the work and to interact with our mainly English-speaking customers.
  • Functional knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is necessary to perform the duties of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Laboratory Practice GCLP is an asset.
  • Experience in industry (CRO, Biopharma or biotech companies) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, performs, and documents analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Performs routine sample analysis and assay maintenance as per client pre-requisite.
  • Participates, to assay development, including qualification and validation phases.
  • Identifies and documents potential performance errors or otherwise unusual results and escalates to senior lab personnel.
  • Performs and maintains inventory of material and reagents.
  • Prepares buffers and solutions for analysis, as required.
  • Prepares data analysis results for upload to LIMS system according to procedure in place to maintain the quality and integrity of data.
  • Assists in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution.
  • Performs and document calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.
  • Participates to any initiative allowing peer training, operation optimization, client satisfaction and company growth.
