About The Position

Entegris in Colorado Springs is growing and is currently seeking a Scientist II to join its Analytical Chemistry team! This role will be responsible for QA testing and will provide analytical support for all manufacturing processes, including incoming material inspections, in-process production key parameter testing, final product releasing, V&Q projects, and plant quality and R&D testing requests. The ideal candidate will be results oriented with good communication skills and knowledge of general lab instrument operations, proper handling of samples for testing, and safe handling/disposal of chemicals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent degrees in science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with TD-GCMS, IC, ICPMS, and other analytical tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Sample Manager, Chromeleon, and MassHunter software or similar software.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO requirements and quality assurance standards.
  • Self-motivated with strong independent work skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and test samples using TD-GCMS, IC, and ICPMS.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment; follow PPE requirements, safety procedures, and participate in required training.
  • Identify potential hazards, communicate concerns, and recommend safer alternatives.
  • Conduct QA testing for incoming resin, FOUP components, and assemblies in accordance with SOPs.
  • Analyze and interpret test data, communicate results, and ensure accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation.
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment (TD-GCMS, IC, ICPMS).
  • Validate metrology performance using statistical methods (e.g., IDLs, MDLs, GR&R, matching studies) and monitor stability via SQC charting.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and support execution of OCAPs and corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing technical expertise as needed.
  • Author and review test methods, SOPs, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with global labs to standardize practices.
  • Handle customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Dispose of chemical waste in accordance with established safety procedures.
