The Cryns and Anderson labs are recruiting a Scientist to join their team to focus on multiple federally funded projects (NIH and Department of Defense) that examine the role of phosphoinositide signaling and methionine metabolism in cancer. This individual will lead and conduct mouse models of breast cancer (patient-derived xenograft, xenograft and syngeneic) to examine how phosphoinositides and methionine regulate tumor growth and metastasis. As such, experience with cancer mouse models is essential. Specific responsibilities include tumor inoculation, drug delivery (oral and intraperitoneal), tumor imaging, necropsy and molecular analyses of tumors (e.g., immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry and proximity ligation assays). This Scientist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of translational cancer researchers that includes undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and other Scientists. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Terminal, 24 month appointment. This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding.
