About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to ensure products are safe, ingredients are authentic, and labeling is accurate. This role is for a Scientist I focusing on Organic Preparation within the Environment Testing division. The position involves performing routine laboratory tasks, preparing samples, conducting chemical analyses, calculating and recording data, and maintaining instruments, all while adhering to GMP/GLP standards and the company's environmental, health, and safety policies. The role operates under close supervision using standard methods and requires general housekeeping in the work area. The position is for the 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in chemistry or related field. 3 years of laboratory experience may substitute for degree
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
  • Ability to use a calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts
  • Ability to work independently following written or verbal instructions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines: Organic preparation, Metals preparation and analysis, Gas Chromatography, Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry, Radio Chemistry, Wet Chemistry, High Resolution preparation and analysis, Low Resolution preparation and analysis

  • Preparation of samples using standard techniques
  • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques

  • Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
  • Performing routine instrument maintenance
  • Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing's environmental, health and safety and quality assurance standards
  • Responsible for general housekeeping in work area
  • Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
  • Aliquots and weighs samples
  • Washes glassware
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
