About The Position

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater West, LLC is hiring an entry-level Scientist I for its Microbiology department at the Pomona Laboratory. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week. The role performs microbiological analyses for water testing, quality control, documentation, client notifications, and media preparation. Candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively and demonstrate strong aseptic technique, communication, documentation, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Two years of college-level science courses, preferably with laboratory courses.
• Excellent aseptic technique.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Availability for weekday and weekend work, with possible overtime and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine coliform and HPC analyses.
• Perform Legionella, Enterococcus, and Pseudomonas analyses.
• Carry out quality control responsibilities.
• Process data and perform data entry, written documentation, and validation.
• Notify clients.
• Perform media-making tasks.
