About The Position

KBI Biopharma seeks an analytical scientist for its Characterization Services team in Louisville, Colorado. The role involves analytical testing of proteins using LC-MS and various chromatographic techniques, supporting programs from early development through commercialization. The scientist will contribute to method development, execute experiments, document results for publication and regulatory review, and review data recorded by peers. The position calls for a collaborative, adaptable scientist with a strong work ethic and the curiosity and creativity to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• For Scientist I: BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Biochemical Engineering.
• For Scientist I: A BS with 7 years of relevant experience, an MS with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in scientific software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in protein analytics using LC-MS.

Nice To Haves

• Glycan characterization experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in LC-MS, HPLC/UPLC, and other common analytical techniques.
• Provide method development support and follow established methods for client programs.
• Execute analytical experiments in support of product development and regulatory submissions.
• Generate high-quality experiment documentation suitable for publication and regulatory review.
• Perform peer reviews of data documented in ELNs and reports.
