About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on, team-oriented Scientist I to support protein science efforts to develop molecular glue therapies to target previously undruggable proteins. At Neomorph, we combine biology, chemistry, and the molecular sciences in a collaborative, fast-moving environment to translate bold ideas into transformative medicines. This role will focus on biochemical experimentation to enable targeted protein degradation programs from early discovery through preclinical development.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field with 0–2 years of experience, MS with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or BS with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in protein expression and purification.
  • Proven proficiency with AKTA FPLC systems.
  • Experience with large protein complexes for biochemical characterization.
  • Proficiency in standard cell and tissue culture techniques.
  • Apply various assay formats, including protein-ligand and protein-protein interaction techniques (such as HTRF, DSF, AlphaScreen, among others).
  • Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving biotech environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership of work, and enthusiasm for learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the protein degradation field is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Purify recombinant E3 ligases and disease relevant proteins for biochemical studies.
  • Develop, optimize, and execute biochemical and cell-based assays for ligand identification, lead discovery, and structure activity relationship studies.
  • Analyze experimental data and clearly communicate results to project teams.
  • Work closely with biologists and chemists to advance shared project goals.
  • Maintain clear, reproducible experimental records and contribute to a culture of scientific rigor.
  • Develop new techniques and advances in protein science and targeted protein degradation.
