Our Laboratories Functional Service Partnership (FSP) team plays a direct role in advancing drug development by creating sustained groups of talent within our customers’ organizations to provide long-term support. This is a fully onsite role based at our customer’s site in Boston, MA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’) OR Masters degree
  • Hands-on experience with immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, or related tissue-based assays
  • Experience handling FFPE and/or frozen tissue samples
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience maintaining laboratory documentation and experimental records
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment
  • Strong interest in spatial biology and emerging tissue profiling technologies
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to generating high-quality data
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory workflows and optimize experimental procedures
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment focused on advancing preclinical research
  • Strong recordkeeping and compliance with SOPs and data integrity standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
  • Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds

  • May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform spatial biology workflows using FFPE and frozen tissue specimens
  • Prepare tissue sections for downstream analysis, including: Deparaffinization (dewaxing), Antigen retrieval, Immunofluorescence staining, Slide mounting
  • Prepare, optimize, and validate antibody panels
  • Evaluate antibody staining quality, specificity, and reproducibility
  • Support execution of multiplex imaging studies and assist with operation of imaging instrumentation
  • Prepare tissue samples for spatial transcriptomics workflows, including slide preparation and sample quality assessment
  • Assist with optimization and execution of spatial transcriptomics sample preparation
  • Maintain detailed records of staining conditions, antibody performance, sample preparation, and assay outcomes
  • Assist in the development and optimization of new tissue-based assays
