About The Position

RayzeBio, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, is seeking a Histology Scientist to join its Translational team in a laboratory-based role supporting radiopharmaceutical therapies from preclinical research through translational development and clinical testing. The position focuses on processing FFPE and frozen specimens from treated preclinical models and human research tissues, and developing and performing tissue-based assays for target validation, biodistribution, pharmacodynamic, and mechanism-of-action investigations across pipeline programs. The successful candidate will independently develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and interpret histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows and data. They will own and improve internal research histology capabilities, act as a histology subject-matter expert for cross-functional teams, and work with external CROs on assay development and related activities. The role also requires careful handling of laboratory reagents and, where applicable, radioactive specimens in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines. This is an onsite position in San Diego, California. The stated salary range is $118,259–$143,302. Additional discretionary cash incentives and stock opportunities may be available. Benefits may include wellbeing support, retirement and financial protection benefits, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible time off for eligible exempt employees, paid holidays, and other time-off benefits depending on eligibility.
