We are currently seeking a Scientist/Engineer for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Bowie, MD. In this role, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers who deliver solutions based on best practices in physics, engineering, and other scientific fields. Team members have autonomy, self-confidence, initiative, and team spirit to seek answers on topics outside and within their area of specialization.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship and the possession of or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to support our contracts with the U.S. Government
  • Ability to design and execute complex experiments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior problem-solving abilities
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to code data into appropriate graphical formats
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization programs such as PowerBI or others
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts

Responsibilities

  • Applying principles of physics and engineering to government security related products and projects
  • Presenting testing results, analyses, and strategic recommendations to clients
  • Analyzing data to inform decisions about process optimization and improvement
  • Conducting rigorous product assessments focused on quality, durability, reliability, interoperability, security, and anti-tampering
  • Supporting on-site testing conducted at client sites
  • Managing product redesigns utilizing a Stage Gate program management framework
