About The Position

We are seeking an AI/ML Scientist – Antibody Discovery to join IQVIA Laboratories in New Mexico. We hire passionate innovators who drive healthcare forward through thoughtful and inclusive collaboration. If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development. The AI/ML Scientist – Antibody Discovery designs and deploys machine‑learning models that accelerate antibody discovery pipelines while contributing hands‑on wet‑lab experimentation. This role combines antibody discovery, immunology, and modern protein language models to drive data‑informed decisions from early discovery through pre‑clinical development.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biophysics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML to antibody or protein sequence data, including protein or antibody language models
  • Hands‑on wet‑lab experience in antibody discovery, including display technologies, NGS, and biophysical or functional characterization
  • Strong understanding of antibody discovery, immunology, and antibodies as therapeutic modalities
  • Ability to independently scope, execute, and validate complex AI/ML and experimental projects with attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills when working across multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams

Nice To Haves

  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Design, train, validate, and deploy AI/ML models, including protein and antibody language models, to support antibody library design, hit triage, and developability assessment
  • Execute hands‑on wet‑lab work approximately 50% of the time, including library construction, display selections, NGS sample preparation, and biophysical or functional assays
  • Develop and operate antibody NGS analysis pipelines, including paired heavy and light chain assembly, clonotyping, and longitudinal repertoire analysis
  • Architect and manage scalable training and inference workflows using AWS S3, EC2, and high‑performance GPU or parallel compute environments
  • Translate experimental and sequencing data into validated models and actionable recommendations for antibody optimization programs
  • Collaborate closely with wet‑lab scientists, informatics teams, and project managers to advance antibody candidates toward therapeutic‑grade leads
  • Document experimental data and AI/ML workflows in Benchling and maintain reproducibility through version control and formal documentation

Benefits

  • Integrated benefits programs and resources to take care of our employees' physical, mental and emotional, financial and social well-being
