About The Position

The Analytical Sciences Associate is an entry-level laboratory role within the Analytical Development group that supports process and product development activities through timely and accurate testing of development, characterization, and support samples. This position contributes to the generation of reliable analytical data used to evaluate product quality, process performance, and method suitability. The role includes routine sample preparation, execution of biochemical and analytical methods, documentation of results, and maintenance of laboratory readiness in accordance with applicable procedures and cGMP expectations. The individual will work collaboratively with Analytical Sciences, Process Development, Product Development, and Technical Operations teams while building technical capability, data integrity awareness, and a strong foundation in GMP laboratory practices.

Requirements

  • BS degree with 0-2 years of related laboratory experience, or MS degree with 0-1 year of related laboratory experience; relevant academic, internship, co-op, or research laboratory experience may be considered.
  • Foundational understanding of laboratory practices, analytical testing, and scientific principles; basic knowledge of cGMP, data integrity, or regulated laboratory expectations is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and execute routine laboratory procedures under supervision, follow written instructions, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, basic computer skills, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • BS or MS in a related science such as a Biology or Biochemistry is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine Analytical Sciences responsibilities under appropriate supervision to support process and product development activities, including: Prepare samples, reagents, buffers, and laboratory materials in accordance with approved procedures and assigned testing schedules. Execute routine and developmental analytical testing using established methods to generate reliable data in support of process development, product characterization, and technical investigations. Document laboratory activities, observations, calculations, and results accurately and contemporaneously in accordance with cGMP, data integrity, and applicable documentation requirements. Maintain laboratory areas, equipment, logbooks, and supplies in an inspection-ready state; support routine equipment checks, temperature monitoring, and basic maintenance activities as assigned. Apply appropriate cGMP, safety, and good laboratory practices during execution of all assigned tasks. Assist with testing using biochemical and analytical techniques such as HPLC, CE-SDS, mass spectrometry, and other applicable residual impurity methods, as trained and qualified. Support data compilation, basic trending, and preparation of graphs or summary tables for review by senior team members or supervisors. Communicate progress, observations, and potential issues promptly to the supervisor or project lead; seek guidance when clarification or troubleshooting support is needed. Collaborate effectively with Analytical Sciences, Process Development, Product Development, and Technical Operations team members to meet sample testing timelines and project needs.
  • Support assigned documentation, data review, and continuous improvement activities appropriate for an entry-level role, including: Compile testing data and prepare basic graphs, tables, or summaries for inclusion in reports, protocols, or development documentation. Assist with drafting or revising laboratory procedures, worksheets, protocols, or supporting documents under guidance from senior personnel. Participate in method troubleshooting, optimization, investigations, or special projects as assigned, with guidance from experienced analysts or project leads.
