About The Position

The Duy’s laboratory is seeking enthusiastic and organized candidates with a strong sense of responsibility. The overarching goal of the lab is to make discoveries that have the potential to benefit cancer patients while gaining a deeper understanding of the cancer epigenome. The ideal candidate will work independently with general guidance from the principal investigator, perform literature searches, assist with the development and optimization of experimental procedures, and contribute to the preparation and presentation of research findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Physical or Biological Sciences Required

Responsibilities

  • Cell culture of AML cell lines and patient-derived samples, including drug treatment, sample processing, and maintenance of electronic records.
  • Processing of peripheral blood and bone marrow samples.
  • Plasmid and viral vector preparation, cell transfection, viral transduction, and functional viral titration.
  • Standard molecular biology assays, including DNA, RNA, and protein extraction, molecular cloning, PCR, and Western blotting.
  • Training on and execution of advanced biochemical and epigenetic assays, including chromatin and protein immunoprecipitation, chromosome conformation capture, and library preparation for next-generation sequencing.
  • Training on and execution of flow cytometry.
  • Drug response and combination screening using cell lines and primary patient samples.
  • Minor mouse handling and isolation of mouse tissues.
