About The Position

Ataraxis is a clinical AI research lab focused on multi-modal AI and precision medicine, aiming to make disease predictable. They develop AI methods for predicting patient outcomes and treatment response, and build clinical tools for physicians. Their research includes causality, foundation models for digital pathology, and survival analysis. Their products, like Ataraxis™ Breast, are used in academic institutions and community clinics globally. Ataraxis has raised over $24 million, including a $20 million Series A from prominent venture capital funds. The company has a flat organizational structure where team members are empowered to contribute, and leadership is based on initiative and results. A strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize are essential. This role is designed for early-career candidates with a scientific background or those transitioning to industry, who are competitive and interested in building the company from a commercial-scientific perspective. The role involves high-volume, high-quality scientific outreach to top physicians, conducting credible scientific conversations at a peer level, and converting these interactions into business objectives such as first orders, early access enrollment, or qualified handoffs to the sales team. This position offers a rare opportunity for growth into more scientific or commercial roles long-term, with significant upside potential, requiring individuals with a scientific background to handle commercial/sales-like conversations and focus on commercial outcomes.
