Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Scientific Director for the Center for Research in Women’s Health Science (CREWHS). This role is responsible for mentoring junior multidisciplinary researchers in women's health or sex differences research, aiming to increase their publications and grant funding. The director will manage CREWHS's annual RFA process, including evaluating and selecting grant recipients. The position also requires the director to maintain their own research, manage their team, and secure funding. The mission of CREWHS is to enhance women's health and care across all life stages by promoting innovation in research, clinical care, education, and policy. CREWHS aims to expand multidisciplinary women's health and sex differences research at Cedars-Sinai and translate this knowledge into improved outcomes for women in disease prevention, recognition, management, psychosocial aspects, and outcome disparities. CREWHS facilitates multidisciplinary sex-based research by providing seed funding to junior investigators, promoting interdisciplinary scientist interactions through seminars and workshops, offering education and training for future leaders in women's health research, funding internships for very junior students to foster early interest, and creating a public awareness campaign on women's health knowledge gaps.
