About The Position
This role focuses on configuring and optimizing the ScienceLogic monitoring platform for various infrastructure components including VMware, VCF, vCenter, wireless controllers, and access points. The position involves implementing client-specific monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerting standards, as well as developing and maintaining Dynamic Applications, event policies, and monitoring templates. Key responsibilities include configuring performance, availability, capacity, and health monitoring, tuning alerts to minimize false positives, and implementing event enrichment for downstream integrations. The role also supports integration with ServiceNow and Splunk, conducts monitoring validation and testing, creates operational documentation, and provides ongoing support and optimization.
Requirements
- Experience with ScienceLogic platform configuration and optimization.
- Proficiency in monitoring VMware, VCF, vCenter, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Ability to implement client-defined monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerting standards.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Dynamic Applications, event policies, and monitoring templates.
- Skills in configuring performance, availability, capacity, and health monitoring.
- Experience in tuning alerts and thresholds.
- Knowledge of event enrichment and monitoring metadata implementation.
- Experience supporting integration with ServiceNow and Splunk.
- Experience with monitoring validation, testing, and remediation.
- Ability to create operational runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
Responsibilities

- Tune alerts and thresholds to reduce false positives and improve operational effectiveness.
- Implement event enrichment and monitoring metadata required for downstream integrations.
- Support integration with ServiceNow and Splunk for event forwarding and operational workflows.
- Execute monitoring validation, testing, and remediation activities during deployment.
- Create operational runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Provide ongoing monitoring optimization and platform support during rollout and stabilization.
