We are ambitious in our commitment to families, and we expect the same in return. We value exceptional teaching, life-changing student achievement, innovation and a growth mindset, and gratitude and responsibility. We exist to change the status quo in education, and we seek individuals who strongly align with our mission. We look for those who refuse to compromise and see education as the gateway to opportunity. We hold high expectations for ourselves and our students. Our team strives to meet a bar of excellence, and we constantly challenge ourselves to get better and evolve our approach. High performers and leaders are encouraged to apply. The Role At Meeting Street Schools, the Science Teacher fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong academic foundation through engaging, inquiry-based instruction. This role leads standards-aligned science learning for students in grades K–5 and provides early enrichment experiences for PK3–4 students. We are looking for someone passionate about the importance of science, both for sparking curiosity in young minds and for providing access to rigorous material. This person will be excited to take on the challenge of improving 4th-grade SC Ready Science outcomes as one major metric of their impact. In addition to modeling a passion for scientific thinking, empowering all students to explore, question, and achieve, this teacher will integrate science with literacy and other content areas to deepen student understanding and promote meaningful learning across the school campus.
