About The Position

Minnesota Internship Center Charter High School is seeking candidates for a Science Teacher - Online Program. This position is for the 2026-27 School Year with a start date of August 31, 2026. MNIC is a Twin Cities Charter School with 4 campuses located in Minneapolis and St Paul, dedicated to providing rigorous and engaging instruction to students in grades 9-12+. The school emphasizes a smaller, caring, and supportive environment with a culture of respect, fair treatment, and support for everyone. MNIC is committed to an individualized and culturally relevant learning environment, prioritizing student needs and honoring their backgrounds.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Appropriate Minnesota Teaching License or the ability to obtain the appropriate Minnesota License.
• Experience teaching secondary students.
• Experienced and proficient with using Chromebooks and Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, Meet, etc.).
• Confident in ability to learn and master new technology platforms.
• Ability to instruct students on how to use technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide rigorous and highly engaging instruction to students in grades 9-12+.
• Teach Science in an Online Program.
• Be present in person daily from 8 am to 4 pm.
• Adapt curriculum to meet all students’ needs.
• Provide quality and effective instructional methods.
• Utilize classroom management skills.
• Connect with students by building relationships.
• Create a positive, successful learning environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
