About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring a Middle School Science Teacher for the 2026/2027 School Year and beyond. Requirements

• Must hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in a K-12 Science, OR hold Elementary Certification with a Middle School Science (5-8) endorsement.
• Only certificated candidates should apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach Middle School Science for the 2026/2027 School Year and beyond.
• Collaborate with peers in professional learning communities (PLCs) to plan lessons and solve problems.
• Partner with an array of specialists to meet scholars’ diverse needs.
• Utilize a research-based curriculum and supporting curricular materials.
• Employ high-quality formative assessments aligned with the curriculum to identify student mastery.
• Work with full-time reading and math specialists to tutor students struggling with essential skills.
• Support students struggling with non-academic problems with the help of counselors and social workers.
