T26/27 Science Teacher (Gunston)
About The Position
This is a 1.0 FTE position located at Gunston Middle School. The role involves implementing instructional programs that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials. The teacher will maintain a safe and orderly environment, communicate with parents/guardians, and keep complete and accurate student records. Collaboration with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members is expected. The position also includes monitoring and assessing student achievement and attending ongoing professional learning and meetings.
Requirements
- Teaching experience in the above mentioned area.
- Knowledge of best instructional practices.
- Ability to integrate technology.
- Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Science endorsement.
Nice To Haves
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
