Requirements

• Specialized knowledge and/or experience in the subject area
• Knowledge of Science vocabulary
• Ability to speak English fluently and use English in a grammatically correct fashion
• Ability to remain flexible and to respond to schedule changes or unexpected task assignments with a calm demeanor
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to impart knowledge to students and information to parents and staff
• Ability to pass background check

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Life and Physical Science degree
• 1 year teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Properly dispose of laboratory materials
• Apply safety standards to student projects and models’ appropriate behaviors to ensure a safe classroom environment
• Clearly and effectively communicate with the Lead Teacher, students, and parents
• Utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning and integrate concepts
• Use Microsoft Word, Google classroom and school database to input grades
• Use, or learn to use, a classroom smartboard
• Develop a warmth and friendliness with students and parents
