Requirements

• Experience teaching preschool aged children preferred.
• Able to work well with young children.
• Able to balance multiple assignments successfully.
• Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain).
• Able to work successfully in a team setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior.
• Subject to Drug Free Workplace Policy.
• Subject to BMV check.
• Subject to Criminal Background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Implement ZooKids preschool programming during the school year for the Zoo’s 3-year-old and 4–5-year-old classes.
• Deliver educational programming.
• Actively participate in activities and classroom management.
• Ensure the overall safety and well-being of preschool-aged children.
• Set up and clean up program activities.
• Prepare lessons and activities.
