Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
  • Must take a TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • Provisionally licensed in the State of Louisiana.
  • Experience in school-based mental health.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face interviews with recipients and their families.
  • Provide individual and family supportive counseling.
  • Provide crisis intervention and crisis de-escalation support.
  • Provide educational and skills-building interventions to improve client/family functioning.
  • Provide interventions in the office, client's home, and/or community.
  • Conduct and gather information for a psycho-social assessment.
  • Accurately and efficiently document client interactions.
  • Maintain effective collaborative relationships with other service agencies/programs in the community.
  • Provide referral and linkage to community supports as needed and appropriate.
  • Independently work and schedule counseling sessions and interventions.
  • Meet or exceed established key performance indicator goals.
  • Collaborate and consult with clinical supervisor frequently for professional growth and development.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings required by the program.
