About The Position

As a School Social Worker with AnthroMed, you’ll join a dynamic team of professionals working toward a shared goal of fostering student success and personal growth. We pride ourselves on providing unmatched clinical support, ongoing collaboration, and professional development throughout the school year. There are currently three in-person, FMLA, roles available: Role 1: Supporting elementary students across a variety of needs (including students in an ASD program) through push in and small group therapy. You’ll work alongside a general education social worker in the same building, as well as a multidisciplinary team. The FMLA role is from August 24th, 2026 (first day of school) until November 24th, 2026. Role 2: Supporting elementary students across a variety of needs (including students in two ASD programs) through push in and small group therapy. You’ll work alongside a special education social worker in the same building, as well as a multidisciplinary team. The FMLA role is from September 1st, 2026 until November 24th, 2026. Role 3: Supporting middle school students across a variety of needs (including students in two ASD programs) through push in and small group therapy. You’ll work alongside a school counselor in the same building, as well as a multidisciplinary team. The FMLA role is from September 18th, 2026 until December 18th, 2026.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Michigan School Social Work Certification (Required)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support.
  • Push in to classrooms to provide play-based therapy while supporting and collaborating with teachers.
  • Conduct IEP evaluations and contribute to the development of meaningful student goals.
  • Facilitate small group and individual sessions.
  • Lead and support the implementation of BIPS and FBAs.
  • Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs.
  • Support students and families in accessing community resources.
