About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker in Clinton Township, Michigan, to support students in overcoming challenges and reaching their potential. The role provides social-emotional and behavioral support primarily to high school students, with one day per week serving middle school students. The School Social Worker partners with educators, families, and support teams to help students build resilience, overcome barriers, and thrive in the classroom and beyond.

The position includes individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to promote student well-being and positive school engagement. The School Social Worker collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs, develop intervention strategies, and connect students with appropriate resources. The role also maintains accurate case documentation and develops individualized service plans to support student progress.

The schedule is 35 hours per week and follows a consistent school schedule. Pay is $45.20–$46.10 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Valid Michigan Social Work License (full or limited).
• Valid Michigan School Social Worker (310) Certification.
