About The Position

The School Social Worker at ThrivePoint plays a critical role in supporting students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. This position works collaboratively with students, families, educators, and community partners to remove barriers to learning, promote student well-being, and foster resilience through trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• State social work license or license-eligible
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, student-centered environment
• Cultural responsiveness and commitment to equity

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with at-risk youth or in school settings preferred
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative practices preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Conduct assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support teams
• Support attendance, behavior, and social-emotional growth
• Partner with families and connect them to community resources
• Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
