About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Social Worker for a K–12 school setting in Aurora, CO. In this role, you’ll support students’ social-emotional well-being, family engagement, and access to learning by providing counseling, crisis support, and collaboration with school teams. We welcome both new and experienced clinicians! This is a K-12 caseload position for the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 2026, with 1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday hours.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
- Valid Colorado CDE Special Services Provider license with School Social Worker endorsement (or eligibility by start date)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis response skills
Nice To Haves
- School-based experience preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and social-emotional development
- Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning as needed
- Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings
- Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families
- Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
- Connect families to community resources and supports
