About The Position

Hyde Park Day School (HPDS) is seeking a full-time School Social Worker at our Chicago campus to play a vital role in supporting student success and well-being. As a member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, the School Social Worker supports students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development through direct services, consultation, and collaboration with families, faculty, and external providers.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Illinois Type 73 School Service Personnel Certificate
• Current LSW or LCSW license in the State of Illinois
• Minimum of one year of experience working with children with diagnosed learning disabilities

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance students' educational programs and overall adjustment to the school environment
• Provide direct and indirect social-emotional services to students, families, and staff
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies
• Provide consultation and direct support to students and staff during crisis situations
• Develop and implement evidence-based intervention and prevention programs
• Participate actively in integrated service teams to support student success
• Collaborate closely with instructional staff and fellow clinicians
• Support the development of students' social communication, emotional regulation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Where applicable, coordinate school-based services with outside clinicians and providers
