About The Position

TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization that partners with schools to provide School Social Worker (SW) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality School Social Worker (SW) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) (LSW) or LCSW) from an accredited program
• Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum/fieldwork in social work settings
• Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children or school-aged students
• 2+ years of experience
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking

Responsibilities

• Providing therapy services to students
• Conducting assessments
• Developing IEP plans
• Evaluating and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents)
• Supporting students according to their IEP
• Evaluations
• Consultation
• Eligibility and diagnostics
• Student services
• Documentation, administrative and planning time
