Requirements

Master’s degree in social work (MSW) with a valid Michigan School Social Worker license, OR Michigan Counselor (or School Counselor) License with a master’s degree from an accredited University.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing social work or counseling services.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling to students
Address social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting students
Develop and implement programs to support student well-being and academic success
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student needs
Conduct assessments and provide referrals to external resources when necessary
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions
Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans
