About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed School Security Officers for a permanent part-time assignment in Macungie, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for dependable officers who prefer weekday afternoon hours, a structured environment, and working in a school setting. This is a consistent, non-rotating post aligned with the school day schedule. The schedule is part-time, Wednesday-Thursday from 2:45 PM to 6:45 PM, providing school-day afternoon coverage. This role is ideal for supplemental income, retirees, or second-job candidates, with no overnight or rotating shifts.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience preferred, not required, in: Unarmed security, Military service, Law enforcement
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and calm demeanor
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
• Must complete required school clearances, including: FBI Fingerprinting, Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Criminal History, Child Abuse Clearance
• Required in-person orientation prior to assignment

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence on school grounds
• Monitor access points and student/staff movement
• Conduct routine foot patrols of assigned areas
• Observe, document, and respond to incidents or safety concerns
• Assist with dismissal-period safety and supervision
• Complete daily activity and incident reports (Belfry Software)
• Enforce post orders, school policies, and standard operating procedures
• Communicate clearly with school staff, supervisors, and fellow officers
