As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Operations in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism, and communicate observations using computer or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and assisting with access control processes.
  • Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.
