Bayshore is currently seeking applicants for future School Nurse team member positions to support the Greater Hamilton and Burlington areas. As a School Nurse, you will deliver personalized, high-quality care in the community, acting as a primary care planner with autonomy and flexibility to provide a holistic approach. You will teach and delegate tasks to clients and family members, maintaining the highest level of practice. The role involves being the nursing care expert for the community, with efficient work schedules focused on care time and reduced travel time.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (CNO).
1–2 years of recent relevant nursing experience, preferably in a community setting.
Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions.
Dependent upon Provincial government regulations and position, new hires may be required to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID-19, Hepatitis, Seasonal Flu etc.

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications (e.g., CNA, LEAP, deSouza) are assets.
Experience with palliative, pediatrics, diabetes management, trach/vent care is an asset.
