Requirements

• An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university: with concentration in Recreation Therapy; OR with completion of recreational therapy specific coursework plus paid work experience that uses therapeutic recreation process
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) issued by the National Council on Therapeutic Recreation Certification; OR Recreation Therapist Certified (RTC) is issued by California Board of Recreation Therapy Certification (CBRTC)
• A valid California driver license and use of automobile in order to travel to sites and locations throughout LAUSD.
• Physical and mental fitness to engage in teaching service.
