This is a long-term substitute position for a School Psychologist. The role involves participating in the planning and implementation of special education assessments and re-assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services and ensuring compliance with state eligibility guidelines. The psychologist will consult with team members, direct student assessments, interpret findings, and write reports. They will also attend meetings with parents, educators, county personnel, and other stakeholders, and consult with regular and special education personnel regarding programming for students with disabilities. Additionally, the role includes participating in pre-referral activities, providing training and support for initiatives like Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and developing and delivering training while staying current on relevant literature and research.
