About The Position

Conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations, interprets results, and provides psychological services to support student learning and development. This role is for a pool of candidates for both full-time and part-time positions for the 2026-27 school year. The School Psychologist will report to the Campus Principal, Director of Special Education, and Special Education Supervisor. This is an exempt position within the Professional/Administrators pay family, assigned to Special Education at a specific campus, with a pay grade of 03 and assignment code 31102. The minimum salary is $66,239, and the position requires 197 duty days per school year.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree
  • Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
  • Texas License as a psychologist or working toward licensure
  • Experience preferred; however, successful completion of internship is acceptable
  • Three (3) years of experience in a Texas public school setting
  • Experience with the admission, review, and dismissal process
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Advanced organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive individual psycho-educational evaluations for referrals and three-year re-evaluations within timelines as prescribed by law.
  • Conduct student observations in general education and special education classrooms.
  • Maintain current knowledge regarding research, development, and technology in the field of individual evaluation relating to student eligibility for special education services.
  • Provide leadership to the campus in the Pre-Referral Process, ARD Process, Child Find procedures, and Confidentiality of Student Records.
  • Provide leadership to the campus multidisciplinary evaluation in the placement process.
  • Conduct in-service training and consultative services for general and special education teachers.
  • Provide leadership in the development and monitoring of individual student behavior improvement plans.
  • Provide direct services to students eligible for psychological services as a related service.
  • Provide parents’ progress reports related to students’ identified IEP goals and objectives on a six-week basis.
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in professional development, department meetings, and special events as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the campus and department.
