About The Position

The School Psychologist focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through the implementation of comprehensive programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness. This is a remote, full-time position requiring approximately 40+ hours per week, typically during standard business hours (9-5 or 8-4), with the ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office. The School Psychologist provides psychological evaluation services, including assessments, reports, educational recommendations, consultation, and therapy for students. The role involves ensuring compliance with state guidelines for evaluation reports, administering assessments, leading evaluation team meetings, and participating in intervention assistance teams. Additionally, the position supports professional development for staff and parents, consults with guidance counselors, stays updated on special education legislation, and collaborates on school projects and national Stride initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-4 years related professional experience
• Indiana School Psychologist Certification
• Ability to Clear required background check
• Ability to travel throughout the state to administer assessments and outside of the state for professional development opportunities

Responsibilities

• Ensure all newly received documents (evaluation team reports, etc.) are compliant
• Take the necessary steps to ensure compliance when necessary
• Ensure all existing documents are compliant following the guidelines set forth by the state
• Administer academic and other assessments to currently enrolled students per mandated time frames
• Lead evaluation team report meetings
• Participates in the school’s intervention assistance team
• Assist the Principal of Special Programs in developing/leading/participating in professional development for the general education staff, special education staff, and parents of students in special education programs
• Consult with guidance counselors to provide training in various emotional health areas
• Keep abreast of all changing legislative issues impacting special education eligibility
• Provide guidance with the implementation of school, procedures and projects
• Serve on school committees
• Participates in professional development sessions
• Collaborate with national Stride efforts including participation in special projects and/or taskforces, developing policies and procedures and training.
