About The Position
School Psychologist position supporting student mental health, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with educators and families to promote academic and behavioral success. This role involves providing comprehensive services to multiple schools, administering assessments, diagnosing learning and emotional/behavioral disorders, developing behavior plans, and writing psychological reports. It is suitable for both experienced school-based psychologists and those transitioning into schools.
Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia PSC School Psychology certificate
- Possess a minimum Specialist-level (6-year) degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive service to multiple schools.
- Administers standardized and/or supplemental assessments to measure the intellectual, adaptive, academic, social, and emotional development of students and/or determine eligibility for services in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assesses students' functional capabilities and home and/or classroom environment.
- Provides differential diagnosis in areas of intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Provides appropriate recommendations and intervention for at-risk students.
- Writes comprehensive psychological reports that adhere to local guidelines.
- Develops behavior plans, curriculum modifications, etc. in order to implement treatment programs.
- Intervenes in occurrences of inappropriate behavior of students in order to assist students in modifying such behavior and developing successful interpersonal skills.
- Utilizes available resources in the school and in the community.
- Demonstrates the ability to implement and conduct individual and/or group counseling sessions.
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
