About The Position

LEARN Academy is hiring for an immediate start, part-time, hybrid School Psychologist in Oro Valley, AZ. This role offers local Clinical Manager support, approximately 2 days per week, and competitive compensation as a W2 hourly employee with a rate DOE, guaranteed hours, and direct and indirect compensation. LEARN Academy, formerly Light Street Special Education Solutions, is a nationwide provider of special education services to schools, helping them succeed by providing comprehensive special education programs and services. They partner with schools to improve the quality and efficiency of services for children with special needs, offering flexible solutions grounded in evidence-based practices focused on positive outcomes. As a School Psychologist at LEARN Academy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive special education services to children with diverse learning needs. You will implement evidence-based interventions to enhance students' academic, social, and emotional well-being, promoting their success in the educational environment. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to deliver high-quality support. Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in school psychology from an accredited program
  • Maintain state license/certification
  • Current AZ IVP Fingerprint card
  • Applicants must be presently eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address students' learning, behavioral, and mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide counseling and support services to students, individually and in groups.
  • Consult with school staff on behavior management strategies and classroom interventions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine appropriate educational placements and services.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment when necessary.
  • Conduct research and program evaluation to improve school-wide practices and student outcomes.
  • Advocate for students' needs and rights within the educational system.
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional development.
  • Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.
