About The Position

Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full-time, in-person position. This role involves providing psychological services to support the academic and emotional needs of middle school students (grades 6-8). You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success. The company is a local woman-SLP-owned business that prioritizes manageable caseloads and provides an appropriate workspace. As the company is owned and operated by therapists, they understand the unique needs of therapists. This position offers flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements

• Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field
• RI School Psychology License
• Experience in conducting assessments and providing counseling in an educational setting
• Knowledge of special education laws and best practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Passion for helping students achieve their full potential

Responsibilities

• Runs social skills groups with the speech pathologists.
• Runs small group counseling and individual counseling and completes evaluations (cognitive, functional behavior assessments, observations, or rating scales).
• Supports the case managers in scheduling and attending meetings as necessary.
• Assists the assistant principal with building happenings when needed and may also be involved if there is peer conflict.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student progress discussions.
