About The Position

The position of school psychologist in the Cumberland School Department collaborates with other education specialists to maximize teaching and learning.

Requirements

• Must hold RI Department of Education (RIDE), School Psychology Certification

Responsibilities

• Administers and scores relevant educational evaluations
• Consults with teachers and parents regarding student learning and/or social emotional needs
• Prepares, submits, and interprets required reports on all students assessed to parents, teachers, and team leaders.
• Provides counseling to students either individually or in small groups
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education and/or Building Administrator.
