The School Psychologist will provide diagnostic services related to intelligence, personality, sensory motor, achievement, and adaptive behavior for students with suspected exceptional educational needs. This role involves administering assessments to measure various developmental aspects of children, evaluating functional capabilities and environments, and collaborating with other specialists to create student support plans. The psychologist will compile comprehensive reports, consult with educators and parents on interventions and management strategies, and counsel students and families to enhance school success. A strong understanding of Response to Intervention is crucial for data interpretation and eligibility determination. The position also involves participating in meetings and workshops, collaborating with teachers on learning and behavioral concerns, assisting in developing behavioral management programs and classroom modifications, and researching resources for addressing student goals. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Special Education.
