About The Position

The School Program Specialist serves as a key support to school leadership, assisting directors in the implementation and management of the academic and culture programming. This role is equivalent to an assistant position and is responsible for ensuring that academic systems, structures, and day-to-day operations run smoothly. The Program Specialist helps translate vision into action by coordinating logistics, supporting instructional systems, and reinforcing consistency across the school cultural norms. The School Program Specialist ensures that the academic and cultural vision set by school leadership is effectively implemented by supporting the systems, structures, and logistics that drive strong instruction. This role is essential in enabling directors and teachers to focus on teaching and learning by ensuring operational excellence behind the scenes.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Experience working in a school or educational setting strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with data systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools.

associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

Support directors in executing the school's academic priorities and instructional programs.
Assist in the coordination and rollout of curriculum, assessments, and instructional initiatives.
Help ensure alignment and consistency in program implementation across grade levels or departments.
Prepare and organize materials, resources, and communications related to academic programming.
Manage and maintain systems that support the academic program (e.g., organizing materials, managing ordering of supplies, etc).
Assist with scheduling, logistics, and coordination of academic events, testing, and program initiatives.
Track deadlines, deliverables, and key action steps to ensure timely execution of priorities.
Support documentation and organization of school-wide academic systems and processes at the direction of the supervisor.
Prepare reports, trackers, and summaries for directors and leadership teams.
Assist in preparing materials for meetings and professional development.
Support communication between directors and instructional staff to ensure clarity and follow-through.
Help prepare agendas, materials, and notes for academic meetings and professional development sessions.
Follow up on action items from meetings to ensure accountability and completion.
Provide logistical support for staff training and collaboration structures.
Provide in-class or small group support during key academic blocks or assessments.
Assist with supervision and maintaining structured learning environments when necessary.
Support implementation of interventions or accommodations under direction of instructional staff.
