About The Position

CIEE is a nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization dedicated to transforming lives and building bridges between individuals and nations. The School Partnerships and Outreach Manager is a dynamic and entrepreneurial sales leader responsible for developing and growing high school partnerships and study abroad participation in a designated territory. This role involves generating excitement for CIEE High School Study Abroad programs among various constituents, managing direct reports to optimize the student application pipeline, and meeting ambitious student enrollment goals. The ideal candidate is a master of networking and relationship-building, possesses a strong ownership mentality, and excels at fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of sales or other relevant experience, with a proven track record of building strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership or management.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proven ability to build a sales territory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present dynamically to large groups.
  • Proficiency in using a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) to organize and prioritize a sales pipeline.
  • Willingness to be a flexible team player, with a passion for education and a belief in the power of global citizenship.
  • Eagerness to travel extensively within your territory during the key selling season.

  • Residing in the NYC Boroughs, Westchester, or Connecticut.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the general manager of a dedicated sales territory (Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester & Putnam Counties, and Connecticut), developing and executing a comprehensive sales plan to meet and exceed student enrollment goals.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with principals, teachers, counselors, and alumni to establish CIEE as the premier partner for global education.
  • Actively prospect and conduct high-volume outreach to new schools to build a sustainable pipeline, identifying and creating new partnerships that integrate study abroad into the school’s mission.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor direct reports (Enrollment Coordinators) to oversee the student sales process, from lead generation to student travel, maximizing conversions through close communication and teamwork.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to students, parents, and administrators, both virtually and in-person, and travel extensively within the region during the September-February selling season to represent CIEE at conferences and in schools.
  • Take ownership of the entire student enrollment pipeline, guiding the team to manage their pipelines and convert leads to travelers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and school relationship statuses in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Proactively manage all administrative and customer service tasks related to the enrollment and pre-departure process.
