School Paraprofessional
About The Position
As a BrightBee Paraprofessional, you’ll support students in local schools—helping them learn, grow, and succeed. You might work 1:1 with a student or support a classroom alongside a teacher. No two days are the same—but every day matters. We are currently partnered with the following school districts: Aspire, Bay Area Community Resources, Education for Change, Envision Education, Invictus Academy of Richmond, KIPP NorCal, Yu Ming. During your interview we will go into detail about what assignments are available at these sites. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is. This role offers flexible work that fits your life, with options to work 2-5 days per week (Monday-Friday). Both full school day and afterschool schedules are available, making it a great option for a side hustle or consistent weekly income. If you want flexible work AND meaningful impact—this is it.
Requirements
- 48 college credits
- Pass a background check
- Follow safety and reporting guidelines
- Complete required school clearances
- Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers.
Nice To Haves
- RBT experience a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Support students with learning and classroom activities
- Help manage behavior using positive reinforcement
- Assist during lunch, recess, and school activities
