About The Position

Florida Connections Academy (FCA) is a tuition-free, online public charter school serving students in grades K-12. FCA is authorized by Hillsborough County Public Schools and is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), which are accrediting divisions of Cognia. The School Office Manager, working from the school office in Tampa, FL, is responsible for managing a team of administrative assistants and collaborating with the school leadership team on daily administrative tasks, including data entry into school or district systems. This role also involves working with CA Facilities and a local Property Manager, maintaining the Office Emergency Plan, and overseeing the daily work of the office team, which includes records management, event logistics, enrollment and withdrawal processing, transcript requests, student portfolio handling, and mail management. The position requires entering data into various systems, maintaining accurate employee records, training and supporting administrative assistants, creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures, assisting the School Leadership Team, and addressing inquiries from families and stakeholders. The role also includes participation in the school State Testing Team and collaboration with the school district on HR compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of administrative assistants
  • Working directly with the school leadership team on daily administrative tasks
  • Entering data into the school or district systems
  • Working directly with CA Facilities and local Property Manager
  • Maintaining and updating Office Emergency Plan
  • Manage administrative assistants who report to the office and work remotely
  • Oversee the daily work of the office team, including, but not limited to records management, coordinating event logistics, enrollment tasks, withdrawal processing, processing transcript requests, receiving and sending student portfolios, handling incoming and outgoing mail etc…
  • Entering data into various school and district information systems
  • Maintain accurate employee records both onsite and in school operating systems
  • Train and support administrative assistants in their roles
  • Create and update school Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist School Leadership Team as needed with daily tasks and projects
  • Assist families and school stakeholders with questions both on the phone and in the office
  • Serve as a member of the school State Testing Team and assist with testing preparation tasks
  • Work with the school district on HR compliance
