To assist in producing the highest possible quality of food for consumption by students and adults. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting the cook or baker with food preparation, potentially taking over cooking or baking duties in their absence. The role involves rotating through various cafeteria tasks such as working the serving line, cashier duties, cleaning tables, pots, pans, and equipment, managing trash, and maintaining production areas and snack bars. General duties assigned by the food service manager for preparation or clean-up are also part of the role. The position requires understanding and practicing USDA accountability and general safety standards.
